Another review from a while back. This was from when temperance society first opened. I love the space, especially the courtyard with it's wooden furniture and deck area.

Chai Latte - $6
Made from Prana Chai. We both thought we made it better at home.
I just don't believe it was steeped long enough to produce that strong flavour.

Ice Mocha - $6.50
Definitely not worth the price.
Same size as a small coffee, but almost double the price.
It did taste great though, really nice balance of bitterness, sweetness
and cocoa.

Huevos Benedictos - $18
A bit of a small serving size with not much chorizo or hollandaise.
I loved the spicy hollandaise but it barely coated the eggs. The hash
were also cooked superbly. Like and soft in the centre with a really nice crunch.

Coconut Poached Chicken Salad
One of the specials that weekend.
The staff were super nice about me changing the rocket to something else,
because as you know I can't tolerate rocket.
The chicken was poached nicely and mixed with sweetcorn and capsicum.
I would've liked the capsicum to be cooked. Some chargrilling would've
made them smoky and sweet. The noodles underneath were also cooked well. |
