Review: The Black Toro
A fancy Spanish restaurant in Glen Waverley. Prices are quite high, but we went for lunch and ordered the feed me offer for $38pp that offered 6 small dishes between the 5 of use, and a few vegetarian options for one of our vegetarian friends.
Croquettes Soft on the inside, with a good combination of flavours and perfectly crumbed on the outside. |
Corn on a cob Nicely charred and sprinkled generously with cheese. |
Beetroot Salad I love beetroot, but wouldn't pay for this, it's too simple. |
Radish Salad Quite simple with no dressing, just kind of looked like they threw a couple on ingredients on a plate. Not great. |
Salmon Sashimi Nice little green prawn cracker like things with a few slices of salmon, enough for 1 each. |
Cheeseburger sliders OPEN WIDE! the buns were nice, slightly sweet brioche. The patties were cooked well, medium rare. Good amount of sauce and I love pickles! |
Fried chicken Like karaage chicken, really nice batter and seasoning |
