Review: Pie in the Sky

Completing the 1000 steps, with already painful calves from versing my friend in a calf challenge, was totally made worth it with lunch at Pie in the Sky. This multi-award winning restaurant is rated on of, if not the, best pie shop in Victoria and it definitely did not disappoint. With such a large variety of sweet and savoury pies, there is sure to be one to satisfy everyone's taste buds.

Left: Ice Chai - $5.50
Made from powder, didn't have that authentic taste,
but chai is always good.
Right: Espresso Milkshake - $5.50
Just what I needed after a hot morning in the sun.
The milkshake was like essentially like an ice coffee
Tandoori & Spinach Pie
Not too spicy but does contain a subtle heat. There's a mix of chicken
and vegetables within. The pastry on all their pies are really flaky, just the way I like
it and not too hard to cut into.
Korma Chicken
I really liked this pie. The korma was mild in heat and again it had
a variety of vegetables within with a good amount of curry gravy.
Side of Salad
Really nice dijon vinagrette dressing and good serving size
Side of Chips
Lovely light crispy chips with good seasoning
Dessert Blueberry Pie
This pie was made with shortcut pastry that was really short. The blueberry
filling was a perfect balance of sweet and tart. I did find the pastry a bit too sweet though
