Review: Two Fat Indians
Probably one of the best Indian restaurants I've been to in Melbourne. The establishment is well furnished with a large bar and mood lighting. Definitely worthy of a first date venue, but without the expensive price tag. Prices are slightly dearer compared to other Indian restaurants, but you get what you pay for.
Mango Lassi You can see the unequal portions. However, these lassi were thick and creamy with a good balance of sweet and sour and not so artificially orange. |
Like western restaurants serve bread rolls/sticks, here you get pappadams, which are way better in my opinion. |
Lamb Rogan Josh - $24 Slightly spicy, but definitely tolerable. This curry was a lot more chunky than the butter chicken below. The flavours were strong. However, the cooking of the meat was uneven with some pieces tough and other pieces really tender. Although there was no sinew, bone or off-cuts. |
