Review: Social Hideout

Another addition to the Parramatta brunch scene. Mediterranean inspired menu with classic breakfast items. This cafe is set in the courtyard of the new-ish Entrada apartment block on the corner of Church St and Victoria Rd just north of the CBD area. Went here last Summer and am keen to go again this Summer!

Chocolate Freakshake
Lovely rich chocolate flavour, and not too OTT with the toppings, although
still quite a lot. It had tiny teddies, whip cream, sprinkles, chocolate sauce and kit kats.
The plates were a bit big and cluttered the table so I would recommend they serve
them on saucers, but a dish/tray is definitely needed as drinking/eating this
can get messy!

Orange Juice
Freshly squeezed and refreshing

Strawberry Freakshake
Quite natural tasting and not too sweet. Reminded me of a unicorn
with all those sprinkles. Came with same toppings as the chocolate one
but strawberry sauce instead of chocolate sauce.

Arabian Board - $16.90
A lovely vegetarian option with some turkish bread (that was sadly burnt on the
underside and quite dry), some zaatar spice mix (which is my fav), labneh,
mushrooms, fresh cucumbers, cherry tomatoes , poached eggs and haloumi.
I wish more things on this plate were cooked and seasoned.
The mushrooms and eggs were cooked really well but the haloumi was left
fresh with made the whole dish a bit too wet when you combine everything.
The dish also lacked salt and pepper with the only seasoning being a little bit of zaatar
and the labneh. I loved the labneh as well for dipping everything into
but wished there was more and that is came in a more convenient vessel.

Mr and Mrs Benedict w/ Bacon - $16.90
A classic simple eggs ben with spinach and bacon. It could've done
with more hollandaise and the bacon a bit more crispy, but overall
a simple but classic tasty dish.

Lamb Salad - $17.90
This salad was amazing. The lamb was cooked so well and seasoned well too.
Apart from the fact I don't like rocket, the other vegetables were nice and
I liked the dressing and yoghurt. Good serving size too!

...And finally, my little pupper ignoring me
