Review: Lee & Me

A cute, rustic cafe set inside an old terrace house. Lee & Me is one of a few modern, hip brunch spots in Woolongong. They serve a simple menu of classic breakfast and lunch items, and drinks. It doesn't compare to Melbourne brunch but is better than your franchised cafes and coffee shops.

Homemade Lemonade
A lovely light, sparkling lemonade with a perfect
balance of sweet and sour

Chai Milkshake
Lovely vanilla chai flavours with some crispy pieces of
apples and spices on top. Really mild but complex, sweet flavour.

Salmon Pikelets
A nice twist to fritters and one I much prefer. Lovely savoury pikelets
filled with chives and served with creme fraiche, side of smoked salmon,
avocado and some green leaves. Sadly my poached eggs were overcooked
with no runny yolk which made the whole dish a bit dry and the cream fraiche
quickly melted on the hot pikelets, again not providing much moisture to the dish.

Chicken Schnitzel Sandwich
A simple sandwich with caesar salad inspired flavours. Lovely toasted sandwich
with a decent amount of filling: lettuce, cheese, pickles, mayo and schnitzel.
Unfortunately, again the whole dish was a bit dry with the bread and chicken really crispy,
but there wasn't enough sauce to lubricate it all.
