Review: The Sparrow's Mill

After trying Red Pepper Bistro, I was a bit hesitant about how The Sparrow's Mill would fair, but so far it is the best KFC (Korean Fried Chicken) I have ever had in Sydney. Here the chicken is served boneless, while still retaining moisture, with the sauce soaking into the meat rather than just being a glaze. Eating in an actual restaurant rather than a dining section of a club also felt much nicer.

Seafood Pancake - $15
One of the worse korean pancakes I've had.  The batter looks fluggy and crispy,
but rather it was thick and soggy, and also quite oily. The amount of
seafood within was minimal, which is quite usual. There was a lot
of vegetable stuffed in though. The dipping sauce was same as always.
Overall I wouldn't order this dish again, just too heavy with poor texture.
Spicy Chilli Chicken - $18 (half)
Definitely spicy. I would save this dish till last so you still have your
taste buds for the other food. It isn't overly hot though, but you will
need water. I loved the texture, crispy coating with moist chicken
and great flavour, it wasn't just burn.
Incredible Gangjung - $17 (half)
Best dish of the day. The chicken was again fried beautifully.
The sauce was a good balance of sweet and salty, it was
thick and glossy. Just all round great flavour and texture.
