Review: Hanoi Hannah

Finally tried all three sisters. Sorry for the poor lighting, my camera just didn't like me that night. The food was great, and unlike the other two sisters, more modestly priced. Be warned that they don't take bookings and waiting times can be extremely long. Luckily, we went on a weeknight and only had to wait 15 minutes. The food came out in modest time, however, the staff did forget our drink orders and weren't very apologetic about it.

Yellowfin Tuna Roll - $7.50
A modern take on a classic rice paper roll. The tuna was fresh
and the wasabi packed a punch was luckily wasn't too strong.
Pork Belly Sliders - $9.50
An unconventionally modern and western menu item. It wasn't the best
slider I've had, with minimal filling of classic American cheeseburger ingredients
and Asian style pork belly, that just didn't fuse for me.
Tender Beef Pho - $13
I love good quality pho at a cheap price, which is what this dish was.
The beef was tender as they promised and the soup full of flavour,
although a bit oily. Great serving size.
Vermicelli Salad w/ Char-grilled Chicken - $14
My favourite dish of the night. The chicken just had a superb charred
flavour. The salad dressing was a perfect balance of sour, sweet and savoury.
Again it was a decent sized serving with plenty of vegetables and vermicelli
with a good ratio of each to meat.
Right: Pineapple and Lychee Slushie - $6
Greatly refreshing and also great recycling of coconut juice cups.
The slushie wasn't too icy or watery. The flavours were bold but the
pineapply luckily wasn't too sour or stinging on the tongue. The lychee
definitely added sweetness to the dish. Overall, would definitely recommend
and order again.
Left: Vietnamese Ice Coffee - $4
Considering the serving sizes at other Vietnamese restaurants,
this serving size was below average.
The flavour was also really strong with not enough condensed milk.
