Review: Fat Bob's

One of the most raved about burger joints in the south side. However, their opening hours are limited, mostly dinner hours and once my friend and I drove there for lunch just to be met with a shut gate :(
The venue is like an outback bar with heaps of seating available, but it does get packed pretty quickly. They offer a variety of meat and vegetarian burgers and sides.

Sweet Potato Wedges - $8
I love sweet potato fries and these were really good. I would've
liked them to be crispier, but otherwise good serving and the
mayo went well with it. I did have to use some salt and pepper as it
wasn't well seasoned.
Popcorn Chicken - $7.50
Lovely crispy little chicken pieces. I would've preferred spicy mayonnaise,
and the mayonnaise itself wasn't very creamy and had this translucent colour to it.
Pepper really makes the flavours kick.
Goodrich - $14
Portobello Mushroom, Swiss cheese, onion relish, beetroot relish, lettuce and tomato.
My burger of choice and it was delicious. The mushroom did make the bread
a bit soggy as all the fluid leaked and it was messy to eat but it was also really
tasty. The onion relish gave it that smokey BBQ flavour and the Swiss cheese
had that punchy taste. All in all a great, simple vegetarian option.
Jackie O - $16
A simple burger, with a beef patty, cheese, red onion, tomato, lettuce
and tonnes of sauce.
Hudson - $16.50
Lean grill chicken burger with tomato, lettuce and avocado and not
so healthy bacon, but we all need a guilty pleasure.
