Review: Korean Fusion Pocha

Craving some Korean fried chicken and New Years sucks, with everywhere being closed for days or even weeks. I haven't been to Lidcombe in years and was surprised with the vast amount of Korean restaurants, seriously it's like a whole street of just Korean eateries. Anyway, the place we found on Zomato was ironically closed, so instead we went across the street to this warm, cosy little joint. I loved all the patriotic wall art and wooden decor, really makes you feel like you're in Korea.

I love my side dishes, more potato please!
Pork Bulgogi - $15
I don't know if I was just really hungry that day or craving something spicy,
but this bulgogi really hit the spot. Not too strong on the spice, with a runnier
sauce, not like a thick glaze, but still great. The meat was really moist, with few
fat bits. A good serving size.
Beef Short Rib Soup - $15
Comes with glass noodles and chunks of beef on bone.
Just had a really strong beef bone taste, really hearty on a cold day.
I Would've liked some vegetables with it, potatoes would've been great.
The meat also wasn't seasoned, while the soup had such a good flavour,
which was disappointing, just some salt & pepper would've done.
Spicy Korean Fried Chicken - $25
Not the best fried chicken I've had but it did cure the cravings.
The batter was just too thick and not crispy enough. The pieces of
meat inside were also small, a lot of air pockets within the batter.
Flavour was great though, doesn't burn, but still spicy and sweet.
