Review: Master Roll Vietnam

This literally was my childhood. Forget Chinese school and tutoring, Saturday's were all about going to the Vietnamese bakeries in Cabramatta for lunch. Although Master Roll Vietnam seems more western, they have kept true to the core ingredients of banh mi such as home made butter, pate and coriander, but also introduced a range of meat fillings e.g. duck and crackling pork. I never was a big fan of the traditional pork slices (the ultra pink meat kind of creeped me out), so I decided to try the pork & crackling and it was delicious. The prices are a bit steeper than normal bakeries at around $6 per roll, but it's convenient location near South Yarra station and the innovative flavours will definitely bring me back! So, if you ever in need of a quick bite, be sure to try them out, the staff are also super friendly :)
p.s. they also do pho!!!!
Slow roasted pork belly with crispy crackling - $6
The roast pork was as excellent as any good quality Asian restaurant.
The crackling was nice and crispy but not overtly oily.
The homemade butter and pate tasted amazing as always.
They weren't excessive with the coriander which was nice.
You also get all the typical vegetables e.g. carrot, cucumber, chilli.
