Review: Home To Roost

Recommended by a friend, after a long day of running errands, we decided to get a quick and easy takeaway lunch. Home To Roost makes amazing roast chicken, sadly they don't have much space in-store with only one table outside for dining, but most people just order to go. With filling meal as cheap as $10 a head, no wonder they're so popular.

Half Chicken & Chips Deal - $14.50 (+$2.50 medium gravy)
I don't know why people like charcoal chicken
so much, roasted taste the same, but less dry. You can also get nicely
charred skin with roast chicken too, like in the picture.
This chicken tasted amazing. Good amount of seasoning,
slightly crispy skin and suprisingly moist meat.
The chips in the deal are medium, but I swear this should be there family
size. Not that I'm complaining about their generosity, but there
is no way we could've finished this between the two of us.
They were cooked well, not too oily, but did lack seasoning.
The chips go great with the gravy, which adds saltiness to the chips!
Nutella Donut - $4
They had a whole tray sitting on the counter.
I was surprised to see a dessert option and quickly wanted one.
The donut was really well made, light and airy, like
jam-filled donuts and very generous nutella filling.
Only thing was we were so full from the meal, that we could barely finish it.
It's also too sweet for one person to finish in my opinion.
