Review: Public Grind

We wanted to Fat Bob's burgers, but they aren't open for lunch Tuesday :( Then we drove to Highett for this other burger joint, that was also closed. I know, the worst luck. So we just picked a random place within site and ended up here, at Public Grind.

Chai Latte - $4
Good chai, a bit grainy and too sweet though.
Pulled Pork - $13.90
w/ cabbage, garlic aoili, tomato relish on panini w/ a side of chips.
An average dish. The pork was cooked well, but the bread was
tough to chew and cut. There was also very minimal sauce, leaving
the whole dish a bit dry. The chips were cooked well, nice thick cut,
but also could've done with dipping sauce.
The 'Hungover Pig' Benedict - $23
w/ chorizo, ham, bacon, spinach, poached eggs & bacon jam hollandaise on sourdough.
This dish was an epic feast, really large serving size. The hollaindaise tasted great,
not to sure about there being an bacon jam in it. There was definitely plenty
of bacon on the dish though, but no ham. They also put three poached eggs,
not sure if by accident, but that's very generous. Although there was only 1 slice
of sourdough which seemed disproportionate. All in all a very filling and
flavoursome dish.
