Review: Joe Black Cafe

Been wanting to try this place for years, way before I started food blogging and the other week I finally had the chance when I played tourist guide to another Monash friend visiting Sydney.

p.s. their service is 5/5, with their manager being one of the friendliest and accommodating I have ever met. He actually cares about your dining experience and converses with you like an old friend (he even got the barista to make us another chai because the first one was too sweet, free of charge might I add!).
Slow Cooked Pork Belly Sanga - $10
Really good price. The pork had good flavours,
liked the slow cook sauce and dressing. However, again
serving size is quite small, and the meat wasn't as
soft and fall apart as one would expect.
Dandelion Latte - $4
They made this for use twice, because the first one was too sweet
and had at least 0.5mm of maple syrup at the bottom.
However, it had great flavours, nice spice aroma,
and wasn't too sweet the second time round. Really is a good
alternative to chai.
Belgian Hot Chocolate -$4
Firstly latte glasses are just never big enough.
Otherwise this hot chocolate was great. Really creamy,
not too sweet, but really decadent and full bodied taste.
Eggs Benedict w/ Smoked Salmon - $18
Quite a simple dish. Serving size wasn't large. The hollaindaise
was nice, but just not enough zing for me. The salmon was
generous but there wasn't enough salad. The English muffin
was surprisingly good, didn't have that grainy corn texture
and flavour that I dislike.
