Review: Stefano's Bakery Cafe

One of the few times we all woke up early enough for a group breakfast. Stefano's Cafe is a conglomerate of good food with a bar downstairs, a store section full of Stefano's own jams, relished etc. as well as pastries & cakes at the counter, and a gallery in which we dined. The space is very large and open, with pristine white walls and high ceilings, giving it a free vibe.

Hot Chocolate - $4
Such a generous serving! Was expected a small coffee cup size for
the price, but was gratefully surprised by the mug because who
doesn't enjoy more hot choco?
French Toast - $17.50
Brioche, cinnamon sugar, berry compote, topped with roasted almond flakes
and side of Canadian maple syrup.
By far the best french toast I have ever had. The brioche was so light and fluffy,
even after being soaked in egg. The flavour was also the perfect sweetness with
the cinnamon sugar coating and the egg didn't have that overcooked, dense flavour.
The compote reminded me of home again and the almond added nice crunch
Overall a generous serving and beautiful presentation.

I only wish I could come back here all the time, why does Mildura have to be so far?!
Vegetarian Breakfast - $18
Scrambled eggs, corn fritter, pan-fried spinach, grilled tomato and mushroom with toast.
I really respect restaurant's that allow changes to their menu because they respect our
individuality and understand that people may not like every component of the dish,
like you can see here where my friend opted for poached eggs instead.
Didn't try this one, but everyone said the corn fritters were amazing!
Corn fritters - $17
Corn fritter, pan-fried spinach, bacon, grilled tomato and Stefano's caramelised onion jam.
Again amazing corn fritters, and Stefano's own onion jam was YUM!
