Review: Einstein's 251

Post exam catch up with two of my close girlfriends. We had barely seen each other throughout the semester, so we had much to talk about from recounting the past semester to dnming, and of course talking about how delicious our food was. Online there have been very mixed reviews of this place, with many top bloggers disliking this cafe, along with some of my friends, so I went in with low standards, but definitely left with a grin on my face. Their food was fantastic! Just another reminder that "the proof is in the pudding", you really got to try it for yourself, and be your own judge!

Dirty Ice Chai - $6.50
At first my heart sank at the small glass, I still wish it was
a bigger because it tasted darn good. The coffee and chai
were well balanced and really full of flavour. While
the ice-cream added a nice amount of sweetness.
Latkes Florentine - $18
Firstly the serving size is very generous. The potato cakes were fried well.
generous amounts of salmon and greens. Would've liked more grape tomatoes.
The hollandaise sauce had a nice zesty flavour to it and the eggs were poached well.
All in all a very filling and tasty dish
Nobel Prize Winner Salad - $17
I just loved the marinade on the haloumi and mushrooms. Really
nice sweet & savoury balance in the sauce. The sesame also added a
nice taste. I loved the addition of cashews, added a nice crunch
and creaminess to the dish. Again serving side was generous.
Egyptian Brekky - $16.50 (w/spiced lamb & tahini - $4.50)
The base egyptian brekky was really tasty. The eggplants were cooked
well, soft. The spices were really nice, however, the added lamb
had no seasoning and the tahini added little flavour as well.
I really liked the beetroot relish though, added a sweet freshness.
