Review: Naked for Satan

Golly gosh this review is from way back. Naked for Satan has some of the best pintxos around, and at only $1 during their specials hours (and $2 normally), they are some of the cheapest eats around. Plus it is such a great venue to chill and have a drink with mates, with their amazing undisturbed view of Melbourne upstairs.

Front Three:
Wine poached pear, feta, marscapone & walnuts
I just love wine poached pear, great flavour, worked well with the cheese.
Cauliflower, Cheese and Garlic Prawn
I loved the flavour of the cheese and the spicy prawn was cooked
well, not really garlicky though.
Tortilla w/ egg, potato, onion & aioli
Really didn't need the bread base. Similar to a quiche texture,
quite dense, but good flavours.
The Rest - Clockwise from Back:
Pissaladiere (Onions, Anchovies and Olives)

My favourite pintxo, really strong flavours, loved the burnt onions
and strong anchovy flavour, also didn't mind the olives.
Blueberry Mousse Cannoli
My mum use to make cannolis all the time, and this shell
was as good as here's, also loved the flavour and texture of
the mousse, definitely a great sweet pintxo.
Sun-dried tTmato w/ Crispy Panchetta and Peas
My no. 2 dish of the night. Really strong tomato flavours,
crispiest bacon, contrasted with the soft peas.
Smoked Duck w/ Relish
A new twist on the classic roast duck pancakes,
loved the relish and the duck was cooked well.
